Our committed goals

Our goal is to create Australia’s first Centre for Predictive and Preventative Medicine that is focused on cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

This centre of excellence will supercharge the work of our world leading experts in systems biology and bioinformatics, building capacity never seen before in Australia.

It will provide Australia’s biggest critical mass infrastructure for predictive disease modelling and precision therapy targeting for cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

A key focus of the Centre will be validating the biomarkers that have been identified as causes of disease to determine their accuracy and potential for targeting with drug, clinical and medical interventions, and translating this to clinical care.
